Registration and Payment Information
Families will be required to pay a $25 non-refundable registration fee. Weekly
fees must be paid prior to the child attending. If the fee has not been paid by
Monday morning, your child may not attend Camp. There is a minimum of 3 days per week in attendance. No refunds for missed days.
REGISTRATION: Registration for any camp is conducted in the Vermilion Family YMCA Childcare office between the hours of 8:00am-6:00pm Monday thru Friday. Payment may be made by cash, check debit card, VISA or MC. Some camps may require additional field trip fees. These fees will be assessed during the registration process. There will be a $20 insufficient fund charge for all returned checks.
Program Information
- Program Cancellations: The Vermilion Family YMCA reserves the right to cancel any activity, camp, program or event based on insufficient registration, supervision, or facility. All activities, camps, program and events will either be rescheduled or fees will be refunded.
- Photo Release: Occasionally the YMCA staff may take photographs of participants in our programs, classes, camps, and events to be used for YMCA use only – brochures, news articles, website, etc.
- Staff: All staff & program volunteers used in conjunction with youth programs at the YMCA must go through a background investigation and fingerprinting process before released for employment. The staff receives a two hour Child-Prevention course and isrequired to be Child/Adult First Aid and CPR certified.
- Special Needs: Persons with disabilities who need assistance or who have special needs should contact the Vermilion Family YMCA to discuss their needs with YMCA staff prior to registration.
- Financial Assistance: The Vermilion Family YMCA will not turn anyone away due to the inability to pay for a program. Families may apply for financial assistance through the YMCA’s Strong Kids Fund by requesting an application in the Main Office during open hours.
What to Bring
- Children should wear comfortable shorts, T-shirt, socks and tennis shoes. For safety purposes, please do not send your child in shoes that slide off of their feet.
- The YMCA is required to apply sunscreen to all children when activities require exposure to the sun. Please send a bottle of sunscreen (SPF8 or higher); a bottle of bug repellant; one piece bathing suit; towel, water shoes; and umbrella (for walking trips).
- Please, no toys from home, cell phones or money. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
WHAT TO EXPECT & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- All activities are supervised by Camp Counselors at all times – even during morning sports activities.
- Children will be required to wear a YMCA badge when on field trips for ease of identification.
- Aside from the scheduled activities listed, a full camp curriculum is planned daily.
- Opening ceremony begins each morning at 9:00am. Closing ceremony is each day at 4:00pm.
- Before/After camp care is available at no additional charge for YMCA registered campers.
- Please assure your child has eaten breakfast prior to coming to camp. A breakfast snack will be served at 8:00am to only those children present.
- Lunch will be served at 11:45am to all campers. Lunch menus are posted weekly; lunch is included in fees.
