Vermilion Family YMCA Fall 2009 Youth Dance Expo!
The Vermilion Family YMCA invites the community to meet our new Youth Dance Instructor, Mrs. Suzanne Kramer, at our Dance Expo on Tuesday October 6th at 6:30 pm in the YMCA Dance Room. Ms. Suzanne would like to meet her new dance students and parents. She will be available answer questions and give a dance demonstration. Suzanne Kramer is originally from Newark, Ohio and relocated to Northeastern Ohio when she married in January of 2009. She has danced for over 30 years, and has been teaching professionally since age 17. She has a wide background of dance experience that includes choreography for drill teams, theater, cheerleading squads, gymnastics teams and majorette lines. She has choreographed and coached award winning teams throughout her career, most recently Regional and International Winners with Twirling Unlimited. She currently has students in the dance programs at both Ohio State University and Ohio State.
Suzanne has worked extensively with the YMCA in her home town of Newark through her former employer Reinita's Baton & Dance, and is excited to be joining the Vermilion Family YMCA! She holds a degree in Specialized Child Studies from Ohio University where she studied dance and fine arts. Suzanne is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and as an Intervention Specialist, and currently works for North Point Educational Service Center with Vemilion Schools.

YMCA Youth Dance

Intro to Karate
Intro to Karate will be held on Thursdays starting September 24th at 4:40 pm. Learn basic karate moves, self control and disciple. 5 week session. Fees: YMCA Members:$40.; Nonmembers:$55. Ages 5-12 years old.
New This Year! Fall Basketball
Get a jump on basketball this Fall! YMCA Youth Basketball offers boys and girls ages 5-12 years old the opportunity to learn the basics or work to improve your skills in a relaxed, noncompetitive atmosphere. This will be an 8 week session beginning the week of October 26th. Games will be played on Saturdays starting November 14th. Signup for the winter and/or spring sessions and receive a discount for each session. Fees: Members: $40, Nonmembers: $55.

The Vermilion YMCA Torpedoes Swim Team
Join one the best YMCA swim teams in northeast Ohio. This competitive program is designed to develop skills necessary to compete within the northeastern Ohio swim league. Practice up to four nights a week and participate in up to eight meets throughout the season. Fees: swim team fees: $285.00 + YMCA youth membership.
NEW THIS YEAR! Pre-Competitive Program
Mondays from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. This program is designed for swimmers ages 5-12 with no prior competitive swim experience. Swimmers will compete in at least three meets through out the season.
