YMCA Happenings
Water Aerobics – The program will run July 7th through August 13th at the Vermilion Boat Club. Class will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM. Limited space is available. Must be a member of the YMCA or the Boat Club. Please call the YMCA for information.
Blastball/T-Ball- Starts Monday July 7th. Blastball is a great way to introduce players to baseball. Players are taught base running, catching, hitting and fielding. T-Ball is for players who are ready to learn the rules and fundamentals of baseball and softball. Fees: Members $40; Non-Members $55.
Sail Camp- Spots are available for the JY Program (ages 8-16 years old). Deadline to sign up will be July 10th. Applications are available at the YMCA or at the Boat Club. Camp starts July 20th.
Vermilion Family YMCA BIKE AND BOAT NIGHT! – A signature fund raising event benefitting the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign will be held Wednesday August 19th at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Vermilion. Check out the 2009 Harley Davidson Street Glide giveaway. Tickets are available at the YMCA.

YMCA Summer Camp Program – This exciting, diverse and creative program is available to children Kindergarten thru 5th grade. The program runs from June 6th thru August 21st with a different theme each week such as Theatre Camp, Fish Camp, and Sports Camp etc. Call the Vermilion Family YMCA Childcare office for more information. Bike & Boat Night August 19th, 2009
The Vermilion Family YMCA signature fundraiser event, Bike & Boat Night, will benefit the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign. The event takes place at Quaker Steak & Lube at McGarvey’s Landing on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009, from 5 pm to 10 pm.
An evening of fun will offer food, entertainment, silent auctions, 50/50 drawings and more. A lively live auction will feature a Sedona, AZ Condo, Hilton Head Condo, Sunset Dinner Cruise, OSU Tickets, Cavs Tickets, Mark Costilow Carved Decoy, Indians Tickets, Browns Tickets and more!
Colin Dussault and the Blues Project Band will entertain. Outside grills and beverages will be offered.
Enter the 2009 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Giveway. Exceptional odds with only 400 tickets available. Each ticket is $100. Drawing will be held event night. Ticket includes $15 worth of food tickets for outside grills.

Vermilion Family YMCA and The Cleveland Clinic Lorain Sports Health Winners
The Vermilion Family YMCA and The Cleveland Clinic Lorain Sports Health held it’s annual Festival of the Fish 5K Run and One Mile Walk on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 9 am. The weather was cooperative and allowed the runners to finish the race course in record time. The race results are as follows:

Y Offers Sailing Lessons
The Vermilion Family YMCA Youth Sports will offer "Take It to The Lake" Sailing Lessons at the Vermilion Boat Club this Summer. Basic sailing and water safety skills in Optimist and JY 15’s will be offered.
